Time for the Easter train.

As usual we have charged for a nice excursion for the whole family. Lots to see and do and suitable for all ages.

Competition for everyone

Find chickens and win the giant Easter egg with candy! This year donated by our sponsor City-Gross. This is our fun competition theme both on Wednesday and on Easter Eve itself. Always appreciated.

Relax for a while

Millans Kafé is loaded with homemade love and the Stationmaster’s roasted Luxus Waffle. As we have been waiting 🙂

The bargain corner is loaded with bargains and much more. Locomotives, carriages and tracks are freshly painted and nice and the SAGA Cinema shows old films about, among other things, the Karlshamn-Vislanda-Bolmen-Halmstad Railway (Bolmenbanan) and Stinsen at Lyckås with Edward Persson in the lead role.

A “real” Easter witch.

Monika Lindell reappears after transforming herself from Mother Santa into a real Easter witch, who walks around with brooms… and in her basket she has Easter eggs for the smallest children.

Fine exhibitions

You can once again enjoy Camilla Odgaard’s fine dollhouses, which is located on the premises. In addition, Camilla has built her Troll Forest with her own handmade trolls with great personality and the story of the troll Blåfot.

Willy Berg’s small car models and Nils-Inge Gustavsson’s fine models of old gas stations can be found in the “Car Nostalgia” room. Then we have Jonas Richthoff’s historical displays with a rhapsody of tin soldiers and not least the Battle of Narva. Last summer’s new displays are still there with the Battle of Troy, the Olympics and Columbus discovering America. A real history lesson. And a lot more.

Movie Train models on the Easter Train 2025

Do you remember Claus Schröder’s beautiful larger-scale train models? He donated these to us in 2022 after they were exhibited in Alvesta konsthall. Now we have brought them out again after a few years in storage – the Orient Express, the Polar Express, the Hogwart Express, Thomas the train. You can see and admire them all inside our special exhibition room, which was converted into an Santa Land last Christmas but is now becoming a movie land.

Creator’s Corner

All small tracks are tuned so that children can drive themselves and have real fun. The world-famous Hare & Tortoise is on and it’s just a matter of competing to see who is the fastest of the two animals. :-). The popular Robot Track has been refreshed and is nice. Just challenge your dad and mom, or your friend. If you’d rather do some crafting, or build with Lego, that’s fine.

Lecture on Bolmenbanan. Ronny Nilsson, our expert on the Bolmen line (and much more) talks about the fantastic construction of the Halmstad-Bolmen Railway. 11.30 h and 13.00 h.

Miniature worlds

Lilla Småland continues to grow and becomes increasingly detailed and full of fun special effects and exciting stories. You know that we are building a 450 sqm miniature world based on the old railways that went through Ljungby municipality. Bökö station and community is finished. Lidhult’s station and community are almost complete and consist of 35 houses, roads, environments and episodes. Lidhultsån flows with real water, down past the Nickie that sits and plays, and rushes on through the mill wheel on new adventures.

The land Somewhere is a small treasure of 15 x 5 meters. It is Dr Bent Schultze’s fine fantasy model in the 50s / 60s style. It was this model that the association rebuilt between 2000 and 2012 and 15,000 hours of non-profit work.

Minivärlden Ljungby always has something interesting and fun for all ages and most interests – an experience and activity goal for the whole family.

Welcome to the Easter train on April 16 or 19. Take care now for the next time we are open is not until June 30 and then six weeks ahead.
